General Shipping Policies

We ship 5 days a week, often the same day as you make your payment. SCSIforSamplers.com strives to get your order to you as quickly as possible and always has the products offered on our website in stock and ready to ship. Our daily shipping cutoff is 1:00PM Eastern Time - any orders received and paid for by that time will be shipped the same day.
 
Shipments to the Continental US

Most shipments are done via FedEx or UPS Ground and tracking numbers are always sent in an email from the carrier. If you have a preference as to which carrier we use, be sure to let us know. For smaller items, such as individual hard drives, cables, etc, we will ship these via US Priority Mail. This is generally faster than UPS or FedEx, taking only 2 or 3 days to be delivered. We always use Delivery Confirmations on the Priority Mail shipments and while that does not offer real-time tracking like UPS and FedEx, it does provide proof of delivery, as well as making the Postal Sevice a bit more diligent in their handling of the package. Please also note that any order over $200.00 will require a signature upon delivery.

Our Listed Shipping Prices

The shipping prices you see listed on each product are for FedEx Home Delivery/Ground, UPS Ground and Priority Mail shipping only; if you need a faster method, please call or email us and mention which shipping options you are interested in, such as Overnight, 2nd Day, 3-day, etc. We are always happy to provide shipment with these expedited options and will let you know the exact cost.

Shipments to PO Boxes or APO/FPO

Please be aware that UPS and FedEx require a valid street address in order to ship - no PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses are allowed. If you need us to ship to a PO Box or an APO/FPO, we will have to ship via the US Postal Service and that means the shipping will in most cases be more expensive than the price shown on our website. In this case, please contact us ahead of time and get a shipping quote if you require shipment to a PO Box or an APO/FPO.

Shipping Outside of the Continental US

We have added a page that specifies shipping costs for our SCSI Card Reader drives and allows you to place your order immediately without emailing us for a shipping quote. You can see it here.

We will be adding our other products to this page in the coming weeks but for now, if the products you want to order are not on the list, you must email us for a shipping quote before you place your order. This is necessary in order for us to provide you with the accurate cost of shipping the order to your location. Shipments outside the continental US are generally made via the US Postal Service and usually with Express Mail or Global Priority Mail. These seem to be the most reliable and cost-effective shipping methods. We have never had a shipment lost or damaged yet using these shipping services. In order to get a shipping quote, include the name of the country to which you need shipment along with the product numbers and quantities of the products you wish to buy.

The USPS Express Mail shipping usually delivers in 5 to 10 days and Global Priority Mail service usually delivers in 14 to 21 days. Both services now offer detailed online tracking of your package every step of the way and this is very useful in case of any problems. We always include insurance on all of our shipments so you are protected in the event of loss or damage in transit. Please note that all overseas shipments will require a signature for delivery.

Customs and Brokers Charges

Please note that most countries charge a customs importation fee and some also require that your package be handled by a customs broker, who also charges a fee. This will vary by country and you should find out about these costs before placing your order since you, the importer of the products, will be responsible for paying these fees.

Please do not ask us to falsify the value of products we ship or mark the customs form as Gift. We are an honest company and we do business in an honest manner. You should plan on the customs charges as part of the cost of buying the product.

Power Requirments of our Products

All of our enclosures have auto-switching power supplies, which means they will work fine with any and all power systems in the world (90~250 volt input, 50/60 hertz) and require no power converter. However, if your country uses an outlet type other than the standard US 3-prong outlet, you will need to obtain a power cable that has the correct prong arrangement for your location; we do not include power cables on orders shipped to these locations. Our products all use the same type of 3-connector power cable that your sampler uses. These cables can be obtained locally in department stores or electronics shops at a very low cost.
