Internal SCSI Drive Install Kits
for Samplers

Install a SCSI Card Reader drive or Zip Drive in the place of the floppy drive or another location inside your sampler! These kits come with the internal cabling that allows you to hook up an internal SCSI drive, usually in the location of the floppy drive (space permitting) while keeping the external SCSI port active. They require no soldering and all kits come with power cable adapters so that you never have to cut your original power cable. Detailed Installation instructions are also included (in English only).

Will this Kit work with the Drive you plan to install?

Please note that these kits are not meant for installation of a Hard drive. They are for use primarily with our CF-CARD SCSI Card Reader drive, CF-SSD SCSI Solid-State Drive Unit or, a SCSI Zip drive. They can also be used with most Microtech and Adtron internal SCSI Card Reader drives. If you are buying the install kit for a drive other than one of ours, it is a good idea to contact us by phone or email before you order to make sure that the kit will be right for the drive you plan to install.

Are you installing an IDE Card Reader drive into your Akai MPC2000XL?

If you are, we have a new kit called the KIT-IDE (see below) that will provide everything you need to install the IDE card reader drive, including an IDE cable with unblocked connectors. Those can often be hard to find, so don't waste your time looking - our kit has what you need at an inexpensive price.

Does your Sampler have a SCSI Interface?

Remember, this is just the installation kit and it DOES NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF A SCSI INTERFACE in your sampler! You MUST HAVE the SCSI INTERFACE INSTALLED in your sampler in order to use one of these kits. In some cases, this kit provides an internal SCSI connection inside of a sampler that did not come with such a connection originally but you still must have the SCSI interface board installed.

If you are not sure about your sampler, take a look at the rear of it - do you see a SCSI connector or plug? If not, then you probably do not have the SCSI interface installed and you would have to find one of those first, before you could use one of our installation kits or any of the storage products we sell. Contact us if you need help determining if your sampler is SCSI-enabled.
