The Compact Flash Triple SSD Unit
|
Do you need some serious storage space in a tabletop enclosure? How about three Compact Flash
solid-state storage units in one nicely sized case? Here it is - the CFCARD-TRIO. This new tabletop
case features three internally mounted Compact Flash SCSI storage units. This case is a good size, with
a footprint of 11.5" L x 9.75" W x 5" H, and is made of light aluminum with a black plastic front bezel.
The case looks a bit like two units stacked on top of each other but it is really all one unit. A very
nice piece of gear that will get admiring looks and comments from anyone who sees it in your workspace.
But the CFCARD-TRIO is a lot more than just its cool look - it has three solid-state CF drives inside the
case and each has its own SCSI ID switch, so you can access each drive independently from your
sampler. You can choose whatever size compact flash cards you need, from 512MB up to 16GB.
Since each drive functions separately from the others, you can use each drive with a different
sampler or all three with the same sampler to triple your normal storage capacity. Do you have
an MPC2000XL that you needs lots of storage space? Using the CFCARD-TRIO with an 8GB CF
card in each drive, you'll have a total of 24GB of fast storage to hold all your samples, songs, projects,
all your work at your fingertips. Or maybe you have an MPC3000 - since that sampler can only access
780MB on any SCSI media, the CFCARD-TRIO will let you use three CF Cards for triple the normal storage
capacity. Or if you plan to use the CFCARD-TRIO with two different samplers, you can mix up the flash
card sizes - maybe two 8GB cards for use with your Kurzweil K2500 and a 1GB card for use with
your Akai S3200XL. The possibilities are endless, so contact us and we can figure out exactly

Another great feature is that for all that horsepower under the hood, the unit runs so quietly that
you will be checking the front power LED to make sure it is actually running. The CF card drives
don't make any noise at all and the extra-quiet fan only produces a whisper. The CFCARD-TRIO
is a very pleasant storage device to have around when you are working on your music and you don't
sacrifice power for quietness - you'll have all you need of both.
Features include a rear-mounted power switch, two SCSI-1 Centronics connectors so that you may
daisy-chain this drive to other SCSI devices or two different samplers. It has three SCSI ID selector
switches, one for each CF-CARD drive. It comes with a terminator plug, AC power cable and operating
instructions - just plug it in and start enjoying the quiet, fast storage space.
