Glyph 2U Racks with Various Drive Configurations

We have rebuilt Glyph 2U Racks available with several different SCSI Drive Combinations.
These racks are in excellent shape and have been rebuilt from the inside out with new power supplies
and ribbon cables. We custom-build these units with new SCSI drives in whatever configuration
you need. And if you don't see it on our list, contact us - we can build whatever you need.
The Glyph racks feature a front-mounted power switch and dual SCSI ID selector switches. In the rear, you have
your selection of connector configurations: you can get four SCSI-1 Centronics 50-pin connectors, two per drive,
that will allow you to use each drive separately; or just two SCSI-1 Centronics 50-pin connectors, with both drives
being chained together, a simpler configuration if you only have one sampler.
Also included is a terminator plug, AC power cable (US/Canada only) and operating instructions.
Most of our rack configurations do not require a cooling fan, so we ship the racks with the 80mm fan
disabled. This allows them to operate in almost complete silence; we say almost because when the CDROM
drive is being accessed, it will make some noise. But all other times, the rack operates in total silence. Note
that the rack units which contain the 9GB and 18GB hard drives do require that the cooling fan be enabled.
40GB Hard Drive: You'll notice that some of these rack configurations include a 40GB Hard drive - this is a 2.5" IDE notebook
hard drive that has a SCSI to IDE converter attached. This is a really nice and fast hard drive unit and it
makes no noise at all and requires no cooling fan, so the rack will run in silence. This is a a good option
if you own a sampler like the Akai MPC2000 Classic or MPC2000XL, as both samplers can use 24GB
of the hard drive, or an Akai S5000/S6000, as both samplers can use all 40GB, or a Yamaha Motif, as
all three Motif Classic models can use 36GB of the hard drive. Any EMU sampler running EOS 4 or higher
will be able to use all 40GB of the drive as well. We have the 40GB Hard drive available in a 1U Glyph rack

Akai MPC2000XL owners: Please note that our CF-CARD drive requires that your XL have os
version 1.14 installed. If you do not have 1.14, you will need to install it in order to use compact
flash cards larger than 1GB in capacity. You can get the 1.14 version
here and if you don't have a way to install it, contact
us for assistance.
Akai MPC2000 Classic and Ensoniq ASR owners: We will make you bootable CF
cards any time, any quantity, for no charge, whether you buy your card reader drive from us or not.
You don't even have to purchase the compact flash cards from us (although it is nice when you do!).

moved to a new building and rather than move all their SCSI spare parts inventory, they just got rid of
it all. Luckily, before all that stuff got thrown away or melted down, we were able to get a large quantity
of parts shipped to us from our inside contacts. So we now have most all the parts needed to refurbish
