| 36x SCSI CDROM Drive |
Our CDROM drive features a new beige 5.25" case with a Sony 36X CDROM drive. These
Sony drives are very reliable, quiet and best of all, they load your samples fast. The case is made
from heavy-duty, damage-resistant metal, perfect for banging around on the road or looking pretty in
your studio. The nice square, flat shape (9.75" long x 9.75" wide x 2.38" high) size makes a nice place
for stacking other gear.
On the rear of the drive you will find dual Centronics 50-pin connectors which allow the drive to be
connected to two samplers at once or daisy-chained to other SCSI drives. The internal cooling fan
is not needed for the CDROM drive, so it is disabled and makes no running noise (we can ship with the fan
enabled upon request). The drive has a SCSI ID selector switch so that you can easily set the ID to any number
between 0 and 7, a rear-mounted power switch and a front power indicator LED. The drive is shipped
with internal termination enabled but we can ship it unterminated if you prefer. The case features a switching
power supply that works with 90 to 240 volts and is ready for use in any country in the world.
Included with the CDROM drive is an AC power cable (US and Canada only) and operating instructions.
Also available with a black drive bezel.
